We had a lovely time at Cotswold Wildlife Park.Everyone enjoyed looking at all the different animals basking in the sunshine.
We have had a great time celebrating World Book Day! We dressed up in our pyjamas , shared our favourite books and had hot chocolate and a biscuit.
We have had another exciting week in reception,with lots of Jack and the Beanstalk themed activities. The children worked together to re-tell the story using songs,props and costumes. They also learned about the life cycle of a bean and have planted their own – I wonder how tall they will grow? The children have measured different length giant footprints and heights of beanstalks and
In our Jigsaw Jenny lesson we talked about persevering when things are difficult.We all had a go at doing something that was tricky for us. We didn’t give up and kept on trying.
The reception classes had great fun measuring each other and various objects in their classrooms. They used bricks and tape measures.

Fred came to visit us on his birthday so we threw him a party! First we wowed him with our sounds,then we each decorated a biscuit before everyone dressed up and had a dance.
In Hedgehogs class we learned about why people wear poppies in November. We made our own stained glass window poppies with tissue paper. They looked very special on our classroom window with the light shining through.
